Merry Christmas Crowd “MCC”-Take Christmas Back
I know skeptics will disagree, but all historical evidence point to America being established under Judeo Christian beliefs. Yet with time the Christian rights are being deprived, slowly reduced subtly but surely. True there might be some doctrinal differences but I think this is a topic that all Christians regardless of denomination can stand united in demanding answers to these questions:
Why are we being affronted when celebrating an occasion intended for and by Christians?
Why is there an issue with being able to say “Merry Christmas”?
Why are we, the observers of this celebration that is known to express joy, peace and happiness not only for Christian but non-Christian alike, being denied the ease, respect and freedom to celebrate?
Christmas has become a test of faith for the believers. Every year we repeat upsetting experiences about someone feeling insulted by these simple words: MERRY CHRISTMAS. We compare stories of angry disputes or frustration with people who mandate how Christmas should be celebrated. We are being told what we should say, how to say it and when to say it so that we don’t “offend” anyone. Christ is being stripped from Christmas as Christians are expected to be mindfully respectful of those who want to deny “Jesus is the reason for the season”. We are not asking skeptics to believe in the miraculous birth of baby Jesus; we are demanding the freedom to celebrate a 2000 year old tradition of that baby’s birthday. Talk about Grinch Reality show. The Grinch is trying to get rid of the birthday boy “Jesus” and cancel His party, but wants to keep all his gifts. NOT THIS YEAR! America is known for freedom of religion and the right to worship. We want to be able to comfortably celebrate a religious holiday called Christmas and not worry about offending anyone. We are not forcing anyone who does not believe in this holiday to do so. However, if we are being asked to limit our public celebration then we will also ask those who want to profit from this celebration to refrain from using this CHRISTIAN holiday for their financial gain without first respectfully recognizing the true meaning. Christmas is a HOLY AND SACRED Celebration for the believers of Jesus Christ. It is “Jesus’ Birthday”. We invite everyone to join in the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but ask the public to recognize the true hosts of this festivity, the Christians. Christmas has been dominated by the skeptics in society and taken hostage by the retail industry. The branch of society that doesn’t believe in Christmas has equal right to their opinion, but they have no right of preventing the believers from publicly professing their faith. The commercial industry looks forward every year to the GIGANTIC sales with huge profitability, yet will not even have the respect to say “Merry Christmas”. Christmas is being exploited for financial profitability yet the central source for the celebration “JESUS” is kept out of the picture.
We must take Christmas back!

We must take back our celebration and re-establish our position openly and uncompromisingly. Our patience and tolerance must no longer be mistaken for weakness. We are being forced to compromise our faith to gratify the skeptics while our rights belittled. Let’s see what we can accomplish if we come together and stand in agreement.
We can call ourselves the “Merry Christmas Crowd”. The goal of the “Merry Christmas Crowed” (MCC) will be to unite and take Christmas back. We will not offend anyone or be politically incorrect. We are common, hardworking citizens of this God given Country who want to celebrate a Holy Religious Holiday peacefully and joyfully” by plainly being able to say “MERRY CHRISTMAS” without being viewed as religious extremists.

Let us make a collective effort to come together and make a bold statement with our wallets. If we stop doing business with any retailer that exploits Christmas for financial gain yet refuse to include the real message of Christmas, maybe this will get their attention and realize that we mean “business” as well. Let’s see if the green Grinch will miss our green dollars. This is not a boycott, but a bold statement that must be heard.
We are a vital part of this society and our Religious privileges must not be violated. Christ is truly the reason for the season, which means if the birthday boy Jesus Christ is not included in this profitable celebration, then there should not be any gain from gift buying.
Here is what our proclamation can be:
“We are Christians, believing Christmas is the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We wish to celebrate His birth and proclaim it publicly. As citizens of the United States of America, We insist that our religious privileges be honored by being able to openly say “Merry Christmas” We wish to offend no one, but we must also not be offended. Christmas must be recognized as a Christian Holiday and Jesus must be the central theme. Christmas has been celebrated for over 2000 years by Christians all across the world. To make our position clear, we will not support any retailer that does not say “Merry Christmas” or display in their front window “Happy Birthday Jesus”
Let us stand boldly as good stewards without fear. United we can make a difference.
“And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of man also will acknowledge before the angels of God; but he who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God”
(Luke 12:8-9)
Christians across America and the world, let us stand unified to send a powerful message to the world. We will not spend our money until “the reason for the season” is acknowledged. This is a great tool to get our message across. If we truly believe Christmas is not about gifts, then let’s stand in faith and prove to the world that Grinch cannot steal Christmas because CHRIST-mas is in our hearts and not under the tree! Let me know what you think. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
